Jerilderie is a word anglicised from the Wiradjuri language meaning place of many reeds. Take a trip to explore the charm of this beautiful place. Picnic beside its peaceful and scenic lake, and view the major artwork ‘Yo-thun-ing-yuna Ngarratya’ (Coming Together), by artists Elsie Black, Gertrude Gittins, Eileen Ballangarry and Sos Hawkins, commissioned for the 2000 Olympics in the Jerilderie Council Chambers.
