SOLD OUT One Night at Warangesda – Music Theatre and Site Tour

A music theatre performance held at the old mission site of Warangesda, situated on the banks of the great Murrumbidgee River at Darlington Point. Created and directed by Artistic Director Kerry Johnson, produced by Burrundi Theatre for Performing Arts. This special music theatre performance takes the audience back in time tracing the story of Warangesda from 1880 and bringing it forward into living history where it remains significant to the many families throughout the Riverina who descend from this important place.

An Elders' seating area, evening BBQ prepared with traditional ingredients and an on-site historical exhibition accompanies the performance.

Limited places available for live event – First Nations FREE (donations welcome) – BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL. Recorded as a DIGITAL EVENT, owned by Burrundi Theatre for Performing Arts and available throughout the festival period, details TBA.

Hello Attendees,

We’re looking forward to the One Night at Warangesda – Music Theatre and Site Tour by Burrundi Theatre for Performing Arts - it will be an evening to remember!

There are a few important pieces of information to note, regarding the event.

Site Opens: The site will be open from 3pm to tour the site and historical information, with performances commencing from 5.30pm onwards.

Transport: There will be two shuttle buses running a continuous circuit with two pickup locations, to transport attendees to the site between 3pm and 5pm.  Due to the limited parking available on the site, we encourage attendees to park their cars in Darlington Point and grab a ride on the shuttle buses stopping at Darlington Point Bus Stop on Bridge Street and the BP Petrol Station, 7 Sturt Highway.

For those travelling directly, you can access the site via Peter Street West or Kulkie Street, and then follow the signage. Please note a section of this travel will be on dirt road.


Food: General admission tickets include the price of catering for this event.
There are several different food packages available for First Nations ticket holders. Food package vouchers are available to purchase online via the Eventbrite ticketing here: https://bit.ly/3nqDu3f  or you can purchase directly on the night. Food packages range from $5 to $15, with items from the BBQ and the Traditional Food sections.
